Joel Robinson, Chairman of the Board

Joel R Joel led the Environmental Sciences Department for Unocal Corporation (formerly Union Oil Company) where he worked for almost thirty years. After retirement in 1992, Joel continued to do private environmental consulting and has served as advisor or board member for several non-profit organizations, including the MIT Educational Advisory Board, Verdugo Hills Hospital, La Salle High School, Extreme Sports Camp (a Colorado outdoor activities camp for youth with autism), Boy Scout Troop 507, The Huntington Library and most currently as a member of the John Muir High School (Pasadena) Engineering and Environmental Science Academy Advisory Committee.

Teresa Fazio, Secretary

name Trained in the Lovaas Model of Applied Behavior Analysis, behavioral therapy for children with disabilities and is now applying those skills to adults with special needs. She is an Advocate for special needs adults with their IPPs' and for families with school age special needs children in applying for IEPs'. Certified in California's Self Determination Program, giving adults with developmental disabilities the right to make decisions about their lives, she is now helping to train families and regional center coordinators. Founding Board Member of the Malibu Special Education Foundation, she was a driving force behind fundraising for the Aurelia Foundation where she is currently the Program Coordinator for the Creative Steps for the North Los Angeles Program.

Gene Benneth, Treasurer

name Gene Benneth is currently the COO of Brand Labs, a private ventures group which is a division of Empower Media Marketing, a Cincinnati based advertising agency. He started his career in advertising with a specialty in digital and social media advertising, he has worked with clients like Microsoft, Fox Pictures, and THQ video games. After leaving the advertising industry, Gene founded several companies including his own advertising consulting company and a home decor company, OneBellaCasa which he sold in 2018. Through the founding of these organizations, he has become an expert at developing processes and lean technology to help small organizations maximize efficiency and output with limited resources. Gene currently lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with his wife, two teenage sons and two dogs. He is a "Foodie" who loves to cook, travel and learn about the world around him.

Mihran Kalaydjian, Government Relations

name With over 18 years of experience in communications, Aerospace Global Services, marketing, and strategy, Mihran has collaborated with leading organizations in education, philanthropy, arts, community engagement, democracy reform, and social justice. Known for strong leadership, communication, and community engagement skills, Mihran serves in various roles, including President of the Winnetka Neighborhood Council, a Board Member-elect on the Lake Balboa Neighborhood Council, commissioner for Community Forest Advisory, District 3, Commissioner for Public Services, District 5, Board Member of LA Winds, Chair and Secretary of Production for the LA Congress.

Lupe Ramos-Silva, Developement

Joel R Lupe has focused the last 25 years in the nonprofit sector transferring her professional experience in business development, marketing, and sales. Lupe's passion for fundraising has led her to work in incredible organizations such as ALSAC/St. Jude, Exceptional Minds, StreetLights, Respectability and the American Heart Association to name a few. A life-long learner, she completed her Professional Designation Certificate as a Specialist in Planned Giving. Today she serves as Sr. Philanthropic Advisor to any nonprofit needing assistance in all areas of operations, fundraising, board development towards sustainability. Her connection with Muralism stems from family members dealing with blindness and mobility issues. She is legally blind in one eye and understands the plight of all disabilities.

Tracy Nini, Corporate Relations

name Tracy has run her company, West Coast Recruiting, for 33 years. She discovered this profession in 1989 as a fluke and loves what she does. Her "why" in life is to be of service. She really loves to help people. Whether it be to help them recognize their goals, their fears, their loves, or their limitations. West Coast Recruiting provides HR services, staffing and executive recruiting throughout the United States for retailers, solution providers, manufacturers and consumer products companies.

Kecia Benneth, Strategic Planning

Joel R Kecia Hielscher is an accomplished, results-oriented retail merchandising leader with over 25 years of experience in multi-channel enterprises. Since 2022, she has held the post of Senior Vice President of Lumens a high-end design lighting and furniture company, part of Design Holding in Italy. Previously Hielscher was Chief Merchandising Officer at Luminex Home Decor and Fragrance in the fragranced candle and home accessories space. Prior to that she led the home team at Nordstrom Rack on the digital side and had various roles at Williams Sonoma, Cooking.com, Warner Bros. and Walt Disney. Hielscher lives in Cincinnati with her husband, boys and dogs where they love to go on long walks as well as enjoying the local restaurant scene and travel to fun places.

Suzanne Lewis, Director

name LA Native, UCLA Graduate and Small Business Owner of a Public Relations and Special Events Company, Suzanne has 25 years of experience serving her community from the dedication of The Walt Disney Concert Hall to organizing the 5K Run for Cedars-Sinai Hospital. In addition to serving on the Muralism Board of Directors, she is on the Neighborhood Council of Valley Village (NCVV) Board, currently Chair of the City Service Committee and Co-Chair of the Communications Committee. She is a Neighborhood Council LA City Budget Representative, Neighborhood Council Emergency Preparedness Alliance Representative, LA Homeless Liaison, Film LA Liaison and Sustainability Alliance Representative.

Lawrence was co-owner and principle at Merlan Creative Studio, designing digital murals, touch-screen interactive kiosks and augmented reality for theme parks and construction companies. Prior to that Lawrence was an Art Director at Iguana Digital. A native Angelino, Lawrence is proud of the city's long history with outdoor art and murals. He has participated in several mural projects around the city and encourages artists of all ages and abilities to get involved.
